Ukraine Set to Become a Global Defense Tech Exporter & Partner in European Security

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that Ukraine starts exporting cutting-edge military technologies and launching joint weapons production abroad with EU and NATO partners
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a pivotal new phase for Ukraine's defense industry: exporting cutting-edge military technologies and launching joint weapons production abroad with EU and NATO partners. This strategic shift underscores Ukraine's growing role in global security and its commitment to shared defense capabilities.

Key Highlights:

Battle-Tested Innovation: Ukraine is ready to share its proven technologies, refined in real-world combat, with trusted international partners.

"Build with Ukraine" Initiative: Negotiations are well underway with countries like Denmark, Norway, Germany, Canada, the UK, and Lithuania to establish licensed production of Ukrainian drones, artillery systems, electronics, and EW solutions.

Enhanced Security & Supply Chains: Foreign-based production will boost security and ensure steady supplies for both Ukraine and its allies, fostering international production clusters in the Baltics, Nordics, and Central Europe.

Strategic Investment: Ukraine is calling on allies to contribute 0.25% of their GDP to support Ukraine’s defense industry, building on the $43 billion already secured for domestic production in 2025.

The first agreements under the "Build with Ukraine" program are expected this summer, with production kicking off by the end of the season. This marks a significant transition from pilot projects to large-scale defense cooperation, positioning Ukraine as a strategic defense supplier on global markets.

This initiative is not just about exports; it's about building a stronger, more resilient European defense ecosystem together.
