Iron Wolf Capital recently introduced its second fund, which raised €100 million to invest in Baltic artificial intelligence and deep technology startups. Their previous fund has invested in Estonian startups eAgronom, Rendin and EyeVi Technologies, among others.
In preparation for the launch of the new fund, Estonian Kadi-Ingrid Lilles was promoted to partner status at the end of last year to strengthen the team. According to the fund, the newly announced move will help them better cover the Estonian market and also underline their desire to set an example in a male-dominated investment landscape.
“As I step into this role, I understand how unfortunately rare it is for female venture capitalists in our region to become partners. I hope this news encourages others to recognize female talent in their teams,” Kadi-Ingrid Lilles noted on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kadiingrid
Lilles also noted that she ended a seven-year period in Berlin and that since May her “headquarters” have been in Tallinn. “Promoting Kadi is not just about spotting and recognizing talent – it’s about changing the norm. The Estonian ecosystem deserves more women in leading venture capital positions,” commented the fund’s managing partner Kasparas Jurgelionis.
Kadi-Ingrid Lilles, who is founding the fund’s Tallinn office in Lithuania, brings experience from Silicon Valley Plug & Play Ventures, the German applied research center Fraunhofer HHI, and also Startup Estonia. Since joining Iron Wolf Capital in the summer of 2023, she has helped lead the fund’s Estonian investments, platform strategy, and deepen its presence across the Baltic diaspora.
